Depart the UK from your chosen airport.
On arrival in Tahiti, you’ll be met at the airport and taken to your hotel where you’ll check in for one night.
After breakfast, you’ll be taken back to the airport for your flight to Raiatea, where you’ll be met at the airport and taken by boat to Taha’a, the other island within the same lagoon.
You’ll be staying at Vaihine Island Resort, a tiny independent hotel on a motu in Taha’a. Get ready for a friendly and personable reception – it’s a real Tahitian experience with luxurious service alongside a desert island vibe. Kayak through the clear water looking for colourful fish, stroll hand in hand along the pretty coral beaches and soak up the privacy and relaxation that epitomises every stay here. It’s a small hotel, so you can chat to the other guests while sipping French wine and watching reef sharks, enjoying your dinner under the stars.
After breakfast, you’ll spend the morning enjoying the hotel before checking out and boarding your catamaran at 1pm. Spend the next three days exploring the islands, taking in areas you might not reach when staying at hotels. In your first evening you’ll stay in Huahine, sailing through the lagoon and enjoying kayaking and stand up paddleboarding. The following day you’ll sail across to Taha’a, visiting a vanilla plantation and snorkelling in the turquoise lagoon, before watching the sun set over Bora Bora from Motu Tautau. The next day will be more snorkelling and a visit to a black pearl farm before sailing over to Bora Bora, finishing your trip on the most iconic island in French Polynesia.
The luxury yacht charter includes all of your meals, with a skipper/guide/cook and is a private boat just for you. It’s a large motor catamaran with a huge deck to jump into the water and enjoy al fresco dinners under the inky sky.
Your yacht charter will drop you at your hotel in Bora Bora, where you’ll check in for four nights.
Reaching Bora Bora, you’ll have made it to one of the most romantic islands on the planet. You’ll be staying in an overwater bungalow at the Conrad Bora Bora, tucked away on the western side of To’opua. Few boats venture round here, so you’ll definitely have the privacy and seclusion that you are looking for your dream holiday. Why not enjoy a couple’s massage at the spa? The views are heavenly, with beautiful vistas of the ocean. Back at your overwater bungalow, you can switch between swimming in the crystalline water and relaxing with a drink on the deck, enjoying each other’s quiet company as your trip draws to a close.
After breakfast, you’ll be taken back to the airport by boat for the short flight back to Tahiti, where you’ll board your international flight home.
The best time to visit French Polynesia is during the dry winter period between May and October when the weather is fresher, and there is much less rainfall. From November to April temperatures rise and the summer rainy season begins, bringing humid, cloudy weather and lots of rain. Over this period, it’s not uncommon to experience brief violent storms or rains lasting a few days at a time. Peak season is July and August, as well as Christmas and the Easter school holidays so expect prices to be at a premium.
