Africa safari holidays 

Going on safari in Africa is an iconic experience. Don’t miss an early morning game drive to spot lions or leopard as they feast on a kill. Sunrise is the best time to witness this, as the big cats hunt at night, eat at dawn and leave the hyenas to finish off the leftovers. Mornings are great for spotting predators but the middle of the day is excellent for seeing classic safari wildlife. Watch zebras braying to each other, giraffes munching lazily on acacia trees and wildebeest grazing the grasses. Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa are the classic safari destinations but Botswana, Namibia, Malawi and Rwanda also have their fair share of epic landscapes and breath-taking wildlife experiences. 

South American wildlife holidays 

It's impossible to visit South America and not be amazed by its colourful wildlife. Home to the iconic Galapagos Islands, here you can swim with penguins, hike past black iguanas sunbathing on rocks and watch waved albatrosses soar above the cliffs. If you're looking for jaguars then make sure you pay a visit to the Pantanal - vast wetlands full of shy tapirs, cheeky coatis and lurking jaguars. North America is awash with exciting wildlife. Look for moose in the forests of New England, snorkel with colourful fish in the warm waters of Key West and watch bison graze in the plains of South Dakota. Watch for cougars in the mountains of Montana, spot bears roaming the wild coast of British Colombia and hear wolves howling in the wilds of Yellowstone National Park. Heading to the coast, you can kayak with orcas in the coves of Vancouver Island and watch humpbacks leap from the depths in the waters off Cape Cod or California. It's not just big mammals that make this a great wildlife destination - look for scurrying chipmunks in Yosemite and hummingbirds flitting through the air in Santa Barbara.

The sheer variety of wildlife in Asia is outstanding - scruffy-looking sloth bears in Sri Lanka, enormous Komodo dragons in Indonesia and mighty elephants in Thailand. Underwater wildlife holidays

So much spectacular wildlife hides under the water, from the islands of the Pacific to peaceful lakes in Africa. Dive with manta rays in the Tuamotu Islands, snorkel with shimmering fish in Lake Malawi and swim with majestic whale sharks on the Ningaloo Reef. It's not just warm waters that hold fantastic wildlife - the cool ocean in the Galapagos is home to a huge array of wildlife.
