Depart the UK from your chosen airport.
On arrival in Bali you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel where you will check in for two nights.
Seminyak is a popular area of Bali, full of boutique shops, classy restaurants and a long beach perfect for watching the sunset. Spend the day browsing the many clothes shops that line the streets and maybe treating yourself to a foot massage when you start to get tired! Enjoy a lunch of traditional Nasi Goreng in one of Seminyak’s gourmet restaurants before heading to one of the many stylish beach clubs where you can find a sunbed, order a drink and enjoy the rest of your evening.
After breakfast you’ll be picked up from your hotel for a day tour of the island, finishing in the afternoon when you’ll be dropped at your hotel in Ubud. There is lots to explore on the island – the volcanoes of Batur and Agung, hundreds of holy places from tiny shrines to enormous temples, beautiful Lake Bratan and the Sekumpul Waterfalls. We can arrange for you to visit wherever you like, to experience the best of Bali in a day. After a wonderful day exploring the island, you’ll be dropped at your next hotel in Ubud, where you will check in for three nights.
Ubud town is a maze of tiny boutique galleries, local silversmiths, craft shops selling wood carvings and sculptures, mixed in with some ancient temples and amazing restaurants. You’ll be staying in the countryside outside the main town but make sure you venture in for the morning to explore – discovering the water temple off the main street before a lunch of delicious babi guling pork is a fine way to spend the morning. The rest of your time here can consist of wandering through the local rice fields, meeting farmers as they plough their paddies and watching ducks paddle across the water. The village of Petulu is a wonderful end to a walk as the trees here are home to 20,000 white herons that come to roost here each evening. Ubud is also a wonderful place to try yoga or a cooking class – each activity will help you get under the skin of this unique island.
After breakfast, you’ll be driven to Sidemen, a small village up in the hills of Mount Agung. The journey will wind through lush rice fields and up the steep roads to the villa, sat on the edge of hills looking towards the volcano. On arrival, you’ll check into your villa for two nights.
You could spend your day here two ways – the first is by relaxing in the villa and taking in the spectacular views over misty rice terraces towards the silhouette of Mount Agung. Swim in the infinity pool, read a book in the outdoor lounge or do some yoga on the grass in this peaceful landscape. The second option is to head out into the hills - you don’t need car to get out into the fields and hike through the lush countryside, meeting locals as you go and getting a glimpse into the real Bali.
Today you’ll leave the mountain heaven of Sidemen and head towards the island heaven of the Gilis! You’ll be driven down to Padang Bai where you will catch a boat over to Gili Meno, where you will check into your hotel for three nights.
Gili Meno is the quietest of the three islands, sat in the middle of Gili Air to the east and Gili Trawangan to the west. Spend your days here relaxing on the white beaches where you can snorkel off the shore to discover the beautiful reef, full of blue coral, shoals of yellow trumpet fish and turtles. We’ve included a snorkel tour of the three islands on your second day here, which will take you to the best sites. Walking around the island only takes around an hour, so you can head off and pick your favourite spot for sunset or even sunrise if you fancy an early start. Each evening you can relish fresh seafood and a cold beer whilst making new friends in one of the many beach bars – life goes slow here, so just settle in and enjoy it!
After breakfast, you’ll be taken by boat over to Lombok and be driven to your final hotel where you will check in for three nights.
Spend a couple of days relaxing in luxury and enjoying the sun at Qunci Villas. Why not spend the morning reading a book before taking a swim and having lunch overlooking the ocean? In the afternoon, you could go to the spa for a massage before enjoying a cocktail whilst you watch the sun set. Sit back and enjoy each other’s company in paradise.
After a final delicious breakfast, you’ll be driven to the airport in Lombok to catch your flight home.
Dry season in Bali & Lombok runs from April – September, although occasional rainfall can still be expected, and the resorts are busiest during this time. During rainy season Bali becomes quieter although the sun still shines and temperatures remain relatively stable year-round meaning Bali can be a great destination at any time of year.
