Spend 2 days at leisure exploring Buenos Aires. This city is so beautiful and offers so many possibilities to entertain and enchant its visitors. On a sunny day, our favourite is to stroll around the Parque Tres de Febrero (popularly known as Bosques de Palermo) in the Palermo area of the city and finish at one of the many cafés and restaurants of this vibrant and bohemian barrio.
On your first evening, you’ll be picked up by a private car and taken to Esquina Carlos Gardel for a first-class meal, accompanied by some of the best Argentine wines and champagnes. This will be followed by a tango show which includes some of the best-loved songs, music and dances performed by skilled musicians and dancers. Esquina Carlos Gardel Tango show is a revival of tango’s sophistication, luxury and style of the Golden Decade of Buenos Aires. The sensuality underlying all choreographic patterns of this show combines in a rich tribute to tango. Private return transfers to your hotel are included.
Today you’ll wave goodbye to the cosmopolitan and urban surroundings of Buenos to welcome life in the countryside of the Pampas outside of the capital. You’ll be taken by private vehicle for the 2-hour journey to La Bamba de Areco. The rest of the day will be for you to enjoy at your leisure. La Bamba de Areco, a luxury ‘estancia’ that was formerly a cattle farm. Today, it is steeped in history with an atmosphere of elegance you’ll come to admire, offering full board accommodation and plenty of outdoor activities.
La Bamba de Areco dates back to 1830 and is one of the oldest colonial-style estancias in Argentina, with its roots in Gaucho history. Although it is not a working Estancia, La Bamba de Areco is a luxurious Estancia experience that is proud to offer authentic gaucho traditions and focuses on service and gastronomy.
With an entire ranch at your disposal – and a pleasingly middle-of-nowhere setting beyond – Estancia la Bamba de Areco is very much a place to stay put. Ride the resident horses whenever you fancy, or head out on hikes and bike rides as long or as lazy as you like. There's also plentiful fly fishing and bird watching to be done, and if you're lucky there'll be an equestrian show or polo match to take in: an international polo team calls the estancia home.
Spend the morning having one last wander around the beautiful grounds. In the early afternoon, you’ll be driven back to Buenos Aires airport for your overnight flight to Miami.
On arrival in Miami, you’ll be driven to your hotel, a 5* boutique in Miami Beach. Spend the rest of your day at leisure – why not head to Nobu for some of the best yellowtail sashimi in Florida?
Spend a few days relaxing on this famous stretch of sand and swimming in the turquoise waves. If you’re in the market for retail therapy, Miami Beach has some of the best shopping in the country, housed in huge modern malls or tiny art deco buildings like The Webster, brimming with boutique designers and cafes. Take a wander through Wynwood, packed with galleries, clubs and street art, before finishing your day with a Cuban sandwich and a few mojitos in one of the beachfront bars.
Your luxurious holiday has come to an end – today you’ll be collected from your hotel and driven to the airport before catching your business class flight home, where you can comfortably sleep on the overnight flight.
New York City experiences every season – freezing winters with snow, cool springs with bright days and showers, hot and sticky summers and pleasant, crunchy autumns. The city doesn’t really have an off season but May and September are often recommended times to visit due to mild temperatures and slightly lesser crowds.
Buenos Aires and the Pampas can be visited all year round. Summer is from November to February and temperatures can reach highs of more than 30°C in the sunshine. We would recommend spring (September to November) as the best time to visit when the temperatures are a bit cooler and the weather dry with plenty of sunshine.
The idea of Florida brings to mind clear skies and sunny days. The Sunshine State is well known for its warm weather and cheery outlook. It’s handy to remember that the hurricane season lasts between June and November, although in practice this just means that sunny days are peppered with rainy downpours and strong winds from the Caribbean. If you are planning to visit Orlando, winter is an ideal time to travel, as the amusement parks are usually quiet, with kids at school. However, December doesn’t bring beach weather, so if you’re looking to relax on the sand, March to May is the best time of year to book a trip.
