Today, you’ll be collected from your hotel after breakfast and driven by private transfer to La Casona of Matetic Vineyard in the Casablanca Wine Valley, just an hour away.
This beautiful luxury property has just ten rooms and is a colonial building typical of the Chilean countryside. We’ve included a two-nights here so you can enjoy a tranquil, idyllic stay amidst the vineyards of the famous Matetic winery. The hotel offers a half board stay and also free tours to the wineries and wine tasting, so you can get to sample the local wines, right where the vines have grown.
You now have a full day to take full advantage of the activities offered by La Casona, including biking tours and hikes in the countryside. Some come at a small extra cost, and you can book these directly with the hotel’s concierge. If you prefer, take a stroll through the lush hotel grounds and relax by the pool and enjoy some down time together in beautiful surroundings.
After breakfast, you’ll be collected from your hotel and driven back to Santiago airport for your flight over to Easter Island, the mysterious isle that’s known for its striking, carved stone ‘Moai’ heads.
Once you land, you will be met and taken by private transfer to your hotel where you will check in for a 3-night stay. The Altiplanico Rapa Nui is set on the shoreline with panoramic views and is designed in the style of the traditional Easter Island boathouse. Every room is an independent space with a private terrace, so you’ll have a secluded space to admire the views from the comfort of your room.
On today’s excursion, you’ll be introduced to the natural and historical highlights of Easter Island – ‘Rapa Nui’ as it’s known indigenously.
You’ll be picked up at your hotel and will start the drive along the black coastline, accompanied by great views of Poike peninsula. Stop at the Vaihu archaeological site, before carrying on the Moai trail passing several sculptures lying on the side of the road. You will have lunch at Ranu Raraku, a moai statue quarry, before starting your ascent to the volcano where you can see more than 300 of the statues. The tour finishes at beautiful Anakena beach where you can take a relaxing break, laze on the sand or a swim in this stunning bay. In the afternoon you will be driven back to your hotel.
Watching the sun dip down into the Pacific Ocean surrounded by striking scenery is a memorable experience, and Easter Island is the perfect place to see this! This evening, you’ll be driven to the important archaeological site and ceremonial complex of Ahu Tahai, where three statues have been carefully restored. From your vantage point here, you’ll be able to catch a breathtaking sunset, framed by the ancient Moai sculptures – a once-in-a-lifetime memory. After sunset, you’ll be driven back to your hotel.
This morning, you’ll be collected from your hotel and driven to Hanga Roa airport for your flight back to Santiago. Once you land, you will be met and taken by private transfer to your hotel to check in for a 2-night stay. We’ve chosen a boutique property in the historical Lastarria neighbourhood of Santiago, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants, cafes and local culture.
You have today free to explore Santiago. We suggest visiting the main sights including the government building La Moneda and the main square with the Metropolitan Cathedral. In the evening, choose among the many bars and restaurants on the doorstep of your hotel.
Today you’ll leave Santiago behind and make way to the Chilean Lake District for a self-drive. You’ll be collected from your hotel after breakfast and taken to Santiago airport for your flight to Temuco.

You have a scenic, 2-hour drive to Hacienda Hotel Vira Vira, the luxury Relais & Chateau property we’ve chosen for this evening. The northern part of the Lake District offers spectacular landscapes with good roads so self-driving is easy and a fantastic way to explore at your own pace. Once you arrive, check-in for a 2-night stay.
Vira Vira is located in the heart of Chile’s Lake District in an extensive natural estate. Your stay here is all-inclusive so that you can make the most of the activities on offer, and you can look forward to delicious meals cooked with fresh ingredients from the property’s gardens and farm – this stay is truly a luxury retreat.
Today, you’ll leave Vira Vira in your own time and drive the 120km to Huilo Huilo biological reserve. The drive takes you through a landscape of mighty peaks reflected into the deep blue waters of the many lakes. When you arrive at Huilo Huilo, check in at the Nothofagus hotel for a 2-night stay.
Huilo Huilo is a large, private reserve of native forest dedicated to wildlife conservation and eco-tourism and Nothofagus Hotel is no ordinary property! Today, you’ll drive to Puerto Montt airport, around 25 km away. Drop off your car and connect with your international flight back home.
