Depart the UK from your chosen airport.
On arrival at Rio de Janeiro airport, you will be met and taken by private transfer to your hotel where you will check in for a 3-night stay.
The hotel we suggest is the Santa Teresa Hotel, a beautifully romantic and luxurious retreat on Santa Teresa hill. From all rooms and the gardens, you will have stunning panoramic views of the city. The hotel is a unique concept of tropical design in the historical and cultural heart of Rio.
Rio de Janeiro is world-renowned for its breath-taking landscapes and location, nestled between lush, green mountains and beautiful seas and is home to some of the country’s most famous attractions from the iconic Statue of Christ atop the Corcovado to Sugar Loaf Mountain which can be reached by cable car. The city is full of energy and rhythm and the locals, Cariocas, are known for their carefree spirit and charm.
This morning you will be picked up by your private guide and vehicle and taken on a visit to the most famous landmarks of the city, from where you’ll be able to to see the natural beauty of Rio from above. The first stop will be at Christ the Redeemer located on Corcovado Mountain followed by a cable car ride to reach the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain. Lunch is included in a typical Brazilian restaurant.
You have now a full day to explore Rio de Janeiro. We suggest discovering Santa Teresa or if you want to soak up the sun, a visit to Copacabana or Ipanema beaches.
You will be collected from your hotel in the morning and driven by private transfer to the beach town of Buzios, about a 4-hour drive. Once you arrive, you will check in your hotel for a 3-night stay.
We are suggesting the Insolito Boutique Hotel as it is located on the edge of the most beautiful beach in Buzios. The hotel operates on sustainable principles and has a sophisticated décor with thematic rooms that will immerse you in Brazilian culture.
Buzios was ‘discovered’ by the world beyond Brazil in the 1960s after a visit by French iconic actress Brigitte Bardot. Nowadays, the peninsula has become a popular destination with the international jet-set but still retains much of the charm of its origin as a fishing village. There are plenty of secluded beaches and spots for a romantic getaway.
You have now 2 full days to explore the beaches of Buzios. You will be spoilt for choice as this 8km peninsula offers 23 beaches, with warm, crystal clear waters to the west and cooler, open sea with inlets to the east.
In the evening, the town will offer plenty of opportunities for romantic dinners and cocktails in the many restaurants and bars in Buzios – so why not head out and explore the town?
You will be collected from your hotel in the morning and driven by private transfer to Rio de Janeiro airport for your flight to Porto Seguro. Once you arrive, you will be met and taken to your hotel in Trancoso, where you will check in for a 3-night stay.
In the small fishing village of Trancoso, we have picked the UXUA Casa Hotel & Spa, whose rooms are comprised of ten unique houses which blend seamlessly into this historic village on Brazil’s idyllic southern Bahian coast. The design blends rustic elements with contemporary comfort and style and fuses indoor and outdoor living spaces to take advantage of the year-round, tropical climate.
Trancoso has a rustic sophistication that captivates travellers. This small village is very charming, with its pretty guesthouses, a picture-perfect church overlooking the ocean and cool eco-chic restaurants.
Make the most of Trancoso’s idyllic setting and beautiful beaches during these two free days. You can walk around the village and soak in the Bahian atmosphere, take a horse ride over the desert beaches or watch the full sunset with a cocktail in hand.
You will be collected from your hotel in the morning and driven by private transfer to Corumbau, 150 km away. Once you arrive, you will check in your for a 3-night stay.
The hotel we suggest here is one of the most sought-after in Bahia thanks to its paradise setting. Fazenda Sao Francisco do Corumbau is an ancient coconut farm surrounded by colourful cliffs, white sand beaches and a turquoise sea. Ideal for honeymooners, it offers complete privacy, with suites and bungalows beside the sea.
You have two days to explore the desert beaches, by bike or on horseback, or simply on foot. You could also kayak through the river and mangroves or you may want to simply lay on the whitest sand and dip your feet in the clearest sea. Between July and November, you can visit the Abrolhos archipelago and spot humpback whales!
As a special treat to round off your honeymoon in style, today we’ve included a helicopter departure to Porto Seguro airport where you will connect with your flight home.
Why not add in a stopover?
The northeast of Brazil is an all-year destination as is Rio de Janeiro. However, April to June is more humid with more precipitations in Bahia and March to November is the drier time in Rio de Janeiro and surrounding.
