Which place exceeded your expectations on your travels and why?

Burma (Myanmar) was amazing. Such a great place to visit and still not fully discovered.

What are your top 5 must-pack items?

Lonely Planet destination guide, camera, iPod, sunglasses and a good book!

When staying in a hotel room for more than one night do you a) unpack your bags or b) live from your rucksack?

I live from my rucksack for one night. I want to get out and discover!

What was your first great travel experience?

When I was 19 years old, watching the sunrise over Borobudur Indonesia, spectacular!

What are your top 3 places in the world?

Sydney (Australia), Udaipur (India) and Lijiang (China).

Which is your favourite beach?

Seven Mile Beach, Cayman Islands.

What is the weirdest thing you have eaten while abroad?

Fried tarantula in Cambodia.

I spent four years living in Sydney, Australia.

Where is the most depressing place you've found yourself?

Arriving back into the UK when it's raining!

What's the funniest/strangest thing that's happened to you abroad?

I was an extra in a Burmese pop video, watch this space Simon Cowell!

If you had just 24 hours in a big city which one would it be?

Tokyo.

What's the best party you have been to while travelling?

Sydney New Year's Eve.
