Depart the UK from your chosen airport.
On arrival at Cusco airport, you’ll be met and taken by private transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley. On the way, you’ll have a guided tour of Ollantaytambo, and you’ll stop at Awanakancha, a farm that’s home to some adorable South American camels, llamas and alpacas! You’ll also be able to see how local families weave traditional garments.
Lunch will also be included at a local restaurant and once arrived at your hotel; you’ll check in for a 1-night stay.
A great day awaits! Your family will be picked up and taken by private transfer to Ollanta train station to catch the train the Aguas Calientes, which is the gateway to Machu Picchu.
When you arrive, your guide will accompany you on the short bus ride to Machu Picchu. Here, you’ll get a fantastic private tour to explain the site, but you’ll also have time to explore on your own.
Early in the afternoon, you’ll catch the bus back to Aguas Calientes where you’ll have the rest of the day free to explore a little.
This morning, we can arrange for you to pay a second visit to Machu Picchu. Otherwise, we suggest taking a walk to Mandor Waterfalls and visiting the butterfly sanctuary on the way. In the afternoon, make your way to the train station to catch the train to Cusco. When you arrive, you’ll be met and taken by private transfer to your hotel where you’ll check in for a 2-night stay.
You now have a full day to explore the city. We suggest walking through the beautiful historic centre and visiting the Chocolate Museum - fun for the whole family!
Your family will be collected today and taken by private transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado, in the Amazon. As soon as you arrive, you’ll be met by the staff of your lodge and taken by land and boat transfer to your lodge, where you’ll check in for a 3-night stay.
Make the most of your full-board stay at the Amazon lodge, with all meals and guided daily activities in small groups with English-speaking guides. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll be able to take part in the first excursion this afternoon!
You have now two full days to explore the Amazon thanks to several tours offered by the lodge. Why not go on a kayak tour, visit an indigenous tribe or take a wildlife walk to spot monkeys and other forest creatures? You’ll discover there are plenty of ways to create lasting family memories.
Today you’ll head back to Puerto Maldonado airport and catch a flight back to Lima. Once you land, make your way to Costa Del Sol Wyndham Airport hotel where you’ll check in for a 1-night stay before your flight to Ecuador tomorrow.
This morning, head back to the airport and catch your flight to Quito. When you land, you’ll be met and taken by private transfer to your hotel where you’ll check in for a 2-night stay.
You now have a full day to explore a little of Quito. We suggest visiting the stunning historic centre and certainly the Equator Monument – your chance to stand with one foot on each hemisphere!
Today you’ll make your way to the Galapagos Islands! You’ll be collected from your hotel and taken by private transfer to Quito airport for your flight to Baltra, in the Galapagos.
When you land, you’ll meet the crew of your cruise and take a tour of the Darwin centre in Santa Cruz Island. Lunch is included at a local restaurant where you’ll also get to meet your first Galapagos resident - a giant turtle! Later in the afternoon, you’ll walk to the port and board your Galapagos cruise.
Your cruise is full board and includes all small group excursions which are led by certified Galapagos National Park guides.
Your three days exploring the islands will be filled with amazing adventures for your whole family! On land, loom out for iguanas, giant tortoises and amazing birds like the distinctive blue-footed boobies. Underwater, on snorkel trips or by boat, you can spot sea turtles, sea lions and sharks. Make the most of this once in your life experience!
Today it’s time to wave goodbye to Galapagos Islands and go back to the airport for your flight back home.
The best time to visit the area around Machu Picchu is between April to October, however, do bear in mind that July and August have very high numbers of visitors.
