Beginning with four days in Sydney, your holiday will get off to a flying start in one of the world’s most exciting and vibrant cities. Climb to the top of the famous Harbour Bridge to learn about the aboriginal history of Sydney, taste local wines and cheeses in the Hunter Valley and hike the scenic Coogee to Bondi Coastal Walk.
Next, you'll fly north to paradise, staying at the relaxing Elysian Retreat in the Whitsunday Islands. Spend your days snorkelling in the turquoise water, strolling together along the beach and enjoying a helicopter flight over the Heart Reef. On arrival, you will be collected and driven to your hotel in central Sydney. With three full days to enjoy all that Sydney has to offer, drop your bags, freshen up and head out to explore. Make sure you head down to Circular Quay to see the harbour bridge and the Opera House and why not enjoy lunch overlooking the harbour? Your hotel has a rooftop pool with stunning views over the city whenever you feel like taking a dip.
This morning, you’ll be collected from your hotel for your full day trip to Hunter Valley. Spend the day exploring at least 3 different boutique wineries - the tours don't visit the same ones every day and your guide will teach you about the ways of growing wine in this region. Along the way you'll enjoy a delicious gourmet lunch at one of the vineyards, as well as a cheese tasting, learning how to pair each cheese with the perfect glass of wine.
Sydney is home to some of the most iconic architecture in the world – the harbour bridge and the unique Opera House. Wander around Circular Quay for brilliant views of both before exploring the Botanical Gardens where sulphur-crested cockatoos fly overhead, squawking as they go. Heading out of the city you could take the ferry to Manly for a stroll down the beach or even try hiking the trail from Bondi to Coogee Beach with endless views over the Pacific Ocean.
We've included the Burrawa BridgeClimb, where you'll discover the aboriginal history of Sydney as you climb the iconic Harbour Bridge. Burrawa is a local Aboriginal word that means 'above' or 'upwards'. During this spectacular experience, you can admire unrivalled views of the Indigenous landmarks around Sydney Harbour including Bennelong and Barangaroo, while hearing the stories of Australia's First Nations people. Your guide will tell stories about local history from an Aboriginal perspective whilst looking down on the shores where Patyegarang taught William Dawes the language of Sydney.
Today you'll be collected from your hotel and driven to the airport to board your domestic flight to Hamilton Island in the glorious Whitsunday Islands. On arrival you'll hop in a helicopter and be flown to Long Island, where you'll be staying at the romantic, adults-only Elysian Retreat.
Tucked away on Long Island, lies the peaceful Elysian Retreat, a secluded, adults-only resort that is just perfect for honeymooners. You'll enjoy three gourmet meals a day, with all your non-alcoholic drinks included as well - enjoy laid-back island breakfasts, al-fresco lunches or picnics on the beach and dinners by the water, looking out at the shimmering ocean.
During your stay, you'll head off on a spectacular helicopter flights to the Heart Reef, the iconic area of the Great Barrier Reef, before heading to Whitehaven Beach, where you'll have time to stroll hand in hand along the sand of Australia's most famous beach.
You will be collected this morning and taken to the airport for your domestic flight to Melbourne.
On arrival you will be greeted and taken by private transfer to your hotel.
Today is yours to explore Melbourne. Wander through the Laneways as you hop between coffee shops, tasting Melbourne's famous flat white. Take a ride up the Eureka Sky deck to experience uninterrupted 360-degree views of the skyline, where you can even enjoy a cocktail at the top. Head to Queen Victoria Market to taste the famous hot jam donuts, hop on the tram for a free ride round the city and stroll along the Yarra River in the Botanic Gardens. Sample local craft beers, drool over the array of boutique cake shops and head out to dinner to one of Melbourne incredible array of restaurants - whether you want Michelin Star dining or a classic Aussie parma at a local pub.
On your first day in Melbourne, we've included an Aboriginal Heritage Walk through the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. This area is culturally significant to the Kulin Nation, the local tribe and a First Nations guide will take you on a journey through rich history and thriving culture to discover the native plants in the Gardens. Learn about the traditional plant use and ongoing connections to Country.
On your final day in Melbourne, we've included a hot-air balloon flight over the nearby Yarra Valley. Get up early to head out to the wine region, watching the balloon inflate in the morning light and float over the vineyards on your final day in Australia.
You will be collected from your hotel by your private driver and taken to the airport for your international flight back to the UK.
