A perfect Australia honeymoon, this three-centre city and beach trip would also suit any first-time visitors to Australia. With a paradise stay in the heart of the Whitsundays on Hamilton Island at the centre of your trip, we’ve also included city breaks in two of Australia’s most vibrant cities – Sydney and Melbourne.
Beginning with four days in Sydney, your holiday will get off to a flying start in one of the world’s most exciting and vibrant cities. Take a seaplane over the harbour, relax on Bondi Beach and enjoy a day out wine tasting in Hunter Valley to make the most of your time here before heading to your next stop, Hamilton Island.
Located in the heart of the Whitsundays, Hamilton Island makes the perfect base to explore the Great Barrier Reef. From here you can enjoy snorkelling, visit the stunning white sands of Whitehaven Beach, visit a wildlife park or relax on the island and soak up some rays.
Finally head to Melbourne; home to great café culture, cool restaurants and trendy bars. Visit St Kilda beach for the day and don’t miss a visit to one of the many patisseries on Acland Street; or perhaps hire a car and head south to the Mornington Peninsula for countryside, vineyards and incredible views.
Depart the UK from your chosen airport.
On arrival, you will be collected and driven to your hotel in central Sydney.
With three full days to enjoy all that Sydney has to offer, drop your bags, freshen up and head out to explore. Make sure you head down to Circular Quay to see the harbour bridge and the Opera House and why not enjoy lunch overlooking the harbour? Your hotel has a rooftop pool with stunning views over the city whenever you feel like taking a dip.
This morning, you’ll be collected from your hotel for your full day trip to Hunter Valley. You will get to visit a unique wildlife park and meet native Australian animals before heading to a boutique winery for exclusive cheese and wine pairings. A gourmet lunch will be served, (alongside matching wines of course) before a lesson on wine production and further wine tastings at a local cellar door.
You now have two full days to explore at your leisure. Why not take a romantic seaplane flight over the harbour, explore the beach suburbs of Bondi and Manly or head out of the city and explore the Blue Mountains? We can arrange plenty of excursions, just ask us for ideas.
We've included the Burrawa BridgeClimb, where you'll discover the aboriginal history of Sydney as you climb the iconic Harbour Bridge. Burrawa is a local Aboriginal word that means 'above' or 'upwards'. During this spectacular experience, you can admire unrivalled views of the Indigenous landmarks around Sydney Harbour including Bennelong and Barangaroo, while hearing the stories of Australia's First Nations people. Your guide will tell stories about local history from an Aboriginal perspective whilst looking down on the shores where Patyegarang taught William Dawes the language of Sydney.
Today you'll be collected from your hotel and driven to the airport to board your domestic flight to Hamilton Island in the glorious Whitsunday Islands.
On arrival you will be greeted and taken to your hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure.
Located in the heart of the Whitsundays, you’ll be perfectly placed for five days of fun and relaxation. Your delightful Palm Bungalow is situated in a palm-fringed tropical garden, with its own balcony and outdoor furniture.
(If you’d like to upgrade to the exclusive, adults-only, 5-star Beach Club - we can arrange this.)
From Hamilton, you can visit Whitehaven Beach, get out on to the Great Barrier Reef or simply enjoy all the facilities that the island has to offer, including its own wildlife park.
You will be collected this morning and taken to the airport for your domestic flight to Melbourne.
On arrival you will be greeted and taken by private transfer to your hotel.
We’ve included a four-night stay in central Melbourne beside the Yarra River, giving you plenty of time to discover why this is such a popular spot. Great beaches, vibrant arts culture, and outstanding coffee - it’s all here. You’ll have time, if you choose, for a day tour to the Great Ocean Road to see this magnificent coastline and the Twelve Apostles, or perhaps a day tour to the Yarra Valley for a vineyard tour.
Alternatively, you could hire a car and head down to the Mornington Peninsula, a stunning coastline and very popular spot for weddings.
We've included an Aboriginal Heritage Walk through the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. This area is culturally significant to the Kulin Nation, the local tribe and a First Nations guide will take you on a journey through rich history and thriving culture to discover the native plants in the Gardens. Learn about the traditional plant use and ongoing connections to Country.
You will be collected from your hotel by your private driver and taken to the airport for your international flight back to the UK.
