Rio is a buzzing city to visit at any time of the year, but during carnival, its energy definitely goes up a notch or two! This package includes four nights in a hotel near Copacabana or Ipanema beaches, with entrance to the Sambadrome where you’ll watch the marvellous Winners Parade. With the guidance of a local guide, you will also take part in one of the blocos – the famous street parties so loved by Cariocas. And to ensure you don’t miss any of Rio’s year-round highlights, we’ve included a guided tour to Sugar Loaf and Corcovado to see the iconic statue of Christ.

On arrival at Rio de Janeiro airport, you will be met and taken by private transfer to your hotel where you will check in for a 4-night stay.
Today you’ll take a guided tour to the city’s famous landmarks and get unrivalled views over its stunning peaks and bays. First, head up Corcovado Mountain and admire the majesty of Christ the Redeemer while taking in the beautiful views of the city and bay below. Next, you’ll take a cable car up to the top of Paco de Azucar – Sugar Loaf Mountain – for more stunning views.
Today is your big carnival experience. With a local guide, you’ll join in one of the local street parties or blocos that take place all over the city during carnival. After partying like a local, this evening you’ll be driven to the world-famous Sambadrome to watch the colours, sounds and samba moves of the Rio carnival Winners Parade!
You have today free to either explore Rio further or simply relax on Copacabana or Ipanema beaches after yesterday’s celebrations.
Today you will be collected from your hotel at a suitable time and driven to Rio de Janeiro airport to connect your onward travel plans.
