Depart the UK from your chosen airport. On arrival in Boston, you’ll make your own way into the city and check into your hotel for three nights.
You have two days to explore the city of Boston, and there’s so much to see! We recommend that you start by following the Freedom Trail, which will guide you around the historical highlights of the city, including Old North Church and Boston Common. Grab a lobster roll or a bowl of New England clam chowder for lunch before wandering the pretty streets of Beacon Hill and heading over the river to Cambridge, home to Harvard University and MIT. Try and catch a baseball game at Fenway Park – the field is iconic, as well as the hot dogs!
On your second day, we’ve included a whale watching tour to lovely Cape Cod. You’ll head out to the Stellwagen Bank, where humpback, finback and minke whales are found in their natural habitat. Hopefully, you’ll spot some of these beautiful creatures in the waves. Whether it’s a tail splash, a fin slap or a full breach – any glimpse will be a thrill!
Today is your last day in Boston – spend the morning with one last stroll around the harbour before making your own way to the airport in time for your flight to Bermuda. On arrival in Bermuda, you will be met at the airport and driven to your hotel, checking in for 6 nights.
With a British history stretching back for centuries, this volcanic island is home to white-washed lighthouses, pristine beaches, and a wonderful climate, with sunny days and cool, ocean breezes. You’ve got five full days to relax and enjoy Bermuda.
We’ve included a few day tours to make the most of your time in Bermuda. On Day 7, you’ll make your way to the Royal Naval Dockyard and climb aboard a comfortable boat for a morning snorkelling tour. You’ll head out to the fringes of the Atlantic reef, where over 300 ships have met their end on the jagged reef. You’ll be visiting the shipwrecks of the Montana and the Constellation – first learning about the shipwrecks before diving into the water. Spend about an hours snorkelling around the wreck, admiring the colourful fish and abundance of coral before heading back to land with a cold rum cocktail in your hand.
After breakfast, you’ll be driven back to the airport for your flight home.
Bermuda is often mistakenly considered to be in the Caribbean but being so much further north means it does not have a specific rainy season. There is enough rainfall each month to keep the island lush and green but the Gulf Stream keeps the island warm and frost-free, despite it’s location in the north Atlantic Ocean. The climate is sub-tropical, with mild winters and hot summers, with high humidity between May and October. Hurricanes don’t usually reach this far north but if they do make landfall it’s between June and September.
