Itinerary in brief:

Day 1: Depart UK

Depart the UK from your chosen airport.

Day 2: Arrive Tahiti

On arrival into Tahiti you will be met in arrivals by our local representative and taken by shared transfer to your hotel for your two night stay. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3: Tahiti 

Enjoy your first day in French Polynesia in Tahiti - we've included a tour of the island, heading down the spectacular west coast to enjoy the crystal clear lagoon and dramatic volcanic scenery across the island. Watch local fishermen selling their daily catch, visit tiny churches by the water and taste delicious fresh fruit from roadside stands.

Day 4: Fly to Tikehau

After breakfast, you’ll be taken back to the airport for the short flight to Tikehau. On arrival, you’ll be taken by boat to Ninamu Resort, where you’ll check in for 4 nights. Ninamu Resort is home to eight beautiful bungalows and caters for a maximum capacity of 26 people, so even if it’s fully booked the island feels deliciously quiet. Each bungalow is unique and hand-built from natural local materials.

Days 5 & 6: Tikehau

You have 2 full days to enjoy Ninamu, set on a tiny island in the atoll of Tikehau. There are several little beach huts with sun beds, where you can settle down with a cocktail and drink in the romantic Tahitian sunset. The beaches are pretty and white, but as with all the beaches in the Tuamotu Islands, they are made of coral, so you need to be careful with your feet. There are beautiful shells everywhere but, if you look at them long enough, they will probably scuttle off – almost everything is alive on this island.

The food at Ninamu is delicious - think huge tuna and avocado salads for lunch and a perfect fillet of emperor fish for dinner, on a bed of rice, basil oil and roasted peppers. For dessert, a rum-drenched banana, flambéed and served with bright purple taro ice cream and almonds. Just because you’re on a remote island doesn’t mean you can’t eat well!

Leading away from Ninamu Island, there’s a trail of sandbars that look like white pearls dropped in the blue ocean. The first sandbar is a short swim away, across a deeper channel of water where the boats can move. After that, only shallow water separates one sandbar from the other. You can choose to explore the sandbars by kayak or even swim between them – you’ll really feel like a tiny dot in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It’s an incredible experience.

Diving and snorkelling are popular activities on Tikehau with sightings of reef sharks and manta rays almost commonplace here. The vast populations of colourful fish including lionfish, clownfish and parrotfish are the main attraction here and they inhabit an underground wonderland you’ll be keen to explore.

Day 7: Fly to Rangiroa

This morning, you’ll be taken by boat back to the airport for the short flight to the neighbouring island of Rangiroa. On arrival you'll be taken by boat and taken to your accommodation, home for the next 4 nights.

Days 8 - 10: Rangiroa

Rangiroa is the largest of the Tuamotu Atolls and also has the largest population in the region, meaning a regular air service from Tahiti Airport. Set home to flat islets and sandbars, rather than mountainous peaks, Rangiroa’s gem is its vast lagoon, so large the island of Tahiti could fit inside! Home to schools of dolphin as well an abundance of other marine life, Rangiroa is a popular choice for diving and deep sea fishing.

Cruising the lagoon is a popular pastime, so we've included a trip to take you out to the more remote islets. Look for dolphins in the Tiputa Pass, snorkel with colourful fish in the coral gardens and sink your toes into the pink sands and sip Rose de Tahiti from the only coral vineyard in the world!

You'll leave Rangiroa with a lasting impression of secluded beauty and remote paradise worth exploring.

Day 11: Fly to Tahiti, ferry to Moorea

This morning, you’ll be taken back to the airport for the flight back to Tahiti. On arrival, you’ll be driven to the port for the short ferry journey to Moorea, where you will check into your relaxing guesthouse for three nights, ready to enjoy this lush, mountainous island with its glorious beaches.    

Included: Breakfast, transfers, internal flights, ferry, Tahitian guesthouse          

Days 12 & 13: Moorea

With three nights to enjoy lush Moorea, you’ll have plenty of time to kick off your shoes and relax. Alternatively, if you're feeling energetic, you can get out and discover this beautiful island. Moorea is a green wonderland waiting to be explored. Take hikes along steep cliffs, swim in the bright blue lagoon where colourful fish and rays dance through the water and stretch out on unspoilt beaches that will blow you away.

Day 14: Depart Tahiti 

After breakfast, you'll take the ferry back over to Tahiti, where you'll catch your international flight home.
