We’ve included a 2 week campervan hire, taking you from Auckland to Christchurch. You’ll have a four berth campervan which will give you plenty of room to spread out during your two week trip.
Head out from Auckland, you could head north to sail the blue waters Bay of Islands or just drive south, stopping in at the pretty Coromandel Peninsula before enjoying a pint a the Green Dragon in Hobbiton. Visit the bubbling pools of Rotorua, taste wine in the lush vineyards of Hawkes Bay and learn about the Art Deco history of Napier. Cycle between the tiny wineries in Martinborough and stop in the cool capital of Wellington, where we’d always recommend a visit to the brilliant Te Papa museum.
Taking the ferry over to the South Island, you can explore whichever route you like. Why not hike the paths of Abel Tasman National Park before driving down the west coast, stopping at the famous Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers before hitting up the cool city of Queenstown. You can then head back up to Christchurch via the pretty shores of Lake Tekapo. If you'd prefer a more leisurely route, explore the relaxing vineyards around Blenheim and look for whales in the waves around Kaikoura. Either way you'll finish your trip in the quirky city of Christchurch, where you can enjoy the quaint charm and unique street art of the second city of New Zealand.

Enjoy a local curry in Little India before heading to Raffles for a Singapore Sling at the Long Bar to toast your short stay in Singapore in style!
You’ll have three weeks to make your way from South Africa to Namibia, finishing in Victoria Falls. Today you’ll be picking up a 4WD campervan, with a fold out roof tent. Look out for the vast ocean views of West Coast National Park, where the ocean crashes against the shore and a kaleidoscopic range of wildflowers grow in the August and September. Drive beneath blue skies towards Paternoster, a little seaside village with a beautiful white beach where you can enjoy a stroll along the sands. Indulge in a delicious lunch of fresh lobster and crayfish before continuing north towards Clanwilliam, one of the oldest towns in the country.
Leaving South Africa behind, you’ll enter Namibia where stunning landscapes and orange deserts await. Gaze out across the vast Fish River Canyon, stop in the Kalahari to see the oryx wandering amongst the quiver trees and visit the famous sands of Sossusvlei. Take a boat trip out on the water from Swakopmund, where seals and pelicans come onto the boat to make friends.
Further north, you’ll drive into Damaraland, where nomadic tribes and desert elephants roam the land. Eventually, you’ll get to Etosha National Park, where your kids will love spotting lions snoozing on the rocks and zebras grazing on the endless plains. You’ll want to enjoy a few days here, watching bat-eared foxes play in the dust, spending each night telling stories around the fire and gazing at the endless stars above you before heading to bed in your cosy tent on the roof of the vehicle. Eventually, you’ll pass through the Caprivi Strip and drop off your camper in Victoria Falls.
Your time is yours to explore at your own pace, three weeks is lots of time to see the highlights, or even explore neighbouring Botswana if you wanted to, where the vast wetlands of the Okavango and the endless Kalahari Desert awaits. There are loads of activities to enjoy here, from sandboarding and quad-biking to wildlife cruises and hiking – if you want us to include any of these, just ask.
