Lord Howe Island, Australia, Australasia and South Pacific
Capella Lodge is Lord Howe Island’s premier luxury retreat, offering a truly extraordinary island escape in one of Australia’s most pristine and protected natural environments. The lodge lies at the secluded southern end of the lagoon, perched above the aptly named Lover's Bay. An intimate retreat catering to only 20 guests at one time, Capella Lodge offers a sophisticated escape. With contemporary accommodation, personal service, exceptional dining as well as the option to enjoy a range of activities - from spa treatments, exploring the multitude of walking tracks or snorkelling in the world's southern most reef.
Lord Howe Island is a two hour flight north east of Sydney and pairs perfectly with a visit to the iconic harbour city. Only 500 visitors are allowed on Lord Howe Island at one time, so your entire stay on the island, and particularly at Capella Lodge, will feel exclusive and soaked in luxury.
All year round, you'll find a pleasant, peaceful escape in Lord Howe Island. Spring and autumn are warm and relaxed, with perfect days for hiking, strolling along the beach and snorkelling in the clear water. Summer can sometimes be warmer, but still maintains a lovely 25°C with the breezes around Capella Lodge stopping it getting too hot. Capella Lodge is generally closed in July and August each year.
