Depart the UK from your chosen airport.
On arrival in the Seychelles, you will be met at the airport and taken to the ferry port, to catch the hour-long ferry to Praslin. It's a scenic journey and on arrival you'll be met and taken to your hotel, checking in for five nights.
Le Duc de Praslin is one of our absolute favourites on Praslin, ideally located in Anse Volbert village you’ll have a bit more life around here, with the magnificent Cote D’Or beach on your doorstep. Le Duc benefits from two pool areas, one being adults only, offering the best of both worlds. The food here is outstanding, and the trendy Café des Arts on the beach is perfect for beach dining, lounging and sundowner cocktails.
Praslin Island is the second largest of the Seychelles’ islands and boasts a tranquil, laidback atmosphere. Stretching for almost 40 square kilometres, the island is full of lush and tropical jungle, fringed by sugary beaches and lapped by turquoise waters. Rumoured to have been a pirate hideout in the 1700s, today it is a popular island for visitors, thanks to the friendly locals, pretty beaches and ancient palm groves.
During your time here, we've included a couple of tours - firstly a cruise, sailing around Praslin’s satellite islands, exploring Cousin, Curieuse, and St. Pierre. Spend the day taking guided walks through two nature reserves, where you’ll spot turtle nests, rare endemic birds and meet the iconic giant tortoises of Curieuse. Play with your family on the beach before enjoying a delicious lunch aboard the catamaran. Finish the day at St. Pierre where you'll snorkel amongst a kaleidoscope of tropical fish. A perfect experience for nature lovers and families wanting to experience Seychelles incredible marine life.
After breakfast, you will be driven to the port to catch the short ferry over to La Digue Island. Here you will be met and taken to your hotel, where you will check in for three nights. You’ll be staying at La Nautique, a small and private hotel, with a wonderful restaurant and lovely pool. Being west facing, the bar is a wonderful spot for a sundowner looking out over the ocean.
The small island of La Digue is a car-free paradise. Once you arrive, you’ll feel the pace of everyday life slow down - all that matters is the white sand, the turquoise water and picking a ripe passionfruit for breakfast. There’s no airport on this tiny island – you have to catch the catamaran ferry across from Praslin.
It’s not the kind of island where you really get up to much – you should spend your time here wandering along beaches, meeting locals and tasting their creole street food or diving into the ocean to snorkel amongst the colourful fishes. The air is sweet with vanilla as you cycle through around the island - our favourite beach to discover is Anse Source d’Argent. This boulder-strewn beach is breathtakingly lovely – the perfect spot for a late afternoon drink on the sand, watching the sunset into the water.
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred back to the port for your ferry to Mahe. On arrival you’ll be taken straight to your hotel, checking in for your final four nights. Mango House is an intimate and luxurious property, located on what feels like a private beach. A real draw of Mango House is some great snorkelling right from the shore, in addition to the lovely pools. It was converted in 2021 from the family home of a renowned Italian fashion photographer; the interiors are full of local flavour. Golden hour is particularly special at Mango House, with perfect cocktail-fuelled sunsets every day.
You’ll have 3 full days to explore the beautiful island of Mahé, where soft beaches sit alongside lush jungle and coconut palms sway in the breeze. There is even more beauty below the water – colourful reefs filled with clouds of pink and yellow fish, where manta rays glide slowly past.
Why not head out to hike along the lush trails of Morne National Park. There are so many spectacular walks here. The forests are full of jackfruit trees and fluttering sunbirds, as well as the world’s smallest frog – though they might be too small to find, you’re sure to hear their loud chirruping calls.
On one of your days in Mahe we've included an exciting cruise, discovering pirate graves, giant tortoises and colourful reefs. Snorkel in St Anne Marine Park, where you’ll swim with shimmering fish, look for turtles and even head out in the semi-submersible to explore further. Tuck into a tasty Creole lunch on the catamaran before heading to Moyenne Island, where you’ll spot giant tortoises amongst the trees. Hike along the nature trails or simply relax on the beach for the rest of the day.
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home. You’ll arrive back later the same day.
