Itinerary in brief:
This afternoon you’ll climb aboard your helicopter or floatplane to transfer to Sonora Resort, located on the beautiful Sonora Island. The island is a jewel amidst the wild beauty and pristine waters of British Colombia’s West Coast.
On arrival, check in for your 2 night stay before enjoying a delicious Pacific Northwest gourmet dinner.
Today you are free to relax! Sonora Resort is situated in a stunning setting amongst towering trees and postcard views, allowing you to reconnect with nature. Why not take one of the optional tours – choose from kayaking, salmon fishing, or a guided eco-boat tour?
If you’d prefer to stay put, make the most of the fantastic facilities- a heated, outdoor heated pool, hot tubs, tennis courts or fishing lakes.
Your time at Sonora Resort comes to an end after lunch, when you will board your float-plane or helicopter and travel back to Vancouver where you will continue with your travels.
The best times to travel in British Colombia, Canada are from March to May and September to November, this is when you’ll find milder temperatures and bargain hotel rates. May until August is peak season with prices being at a premium and lots of tourist visitors, the summer brings beautiful weather however and is a very popular season to travel to this region. December to February is winter and temperatures can drop below freezing, for winter sports fans it is worth braving the weather to take part in winter sports activities particularly in nearby Whistler.
