The best time to visit Samoa is between May and October during dry season. This is also when many major Samoan festivals are held. During the wet season from November to April the islands can be very wet and are prone to the odd tropical cyclones. December and January are peak time in Samoa with many Australians and New Zealanders visiting over the holiday period. The average annual temperature in coastal areas is around 26 degrees.
