Take some time to discover both the main island and New Caledonia's other islands of Ouvea, Lifou & Ile des Pines - each beautifully unique.

Ouvea's coastline boasts a 25km stretch of pristine white sand alongside a vibrant blue lagoon and is known for its production of coconut oil; Lifou is the largest of the 'Loyalty Islands' and is characterised by an interior of vast forests and a dramatic coastal cliff line full of caves to explore. Finally, Ile Des Pines (as its name suggests) shelters forests of large pine trees which grow beside tropical beaches and unbelievably turquoise waters. Inland, discover the island's mysterious interior; dark caves within the forest and the crumbling ruins of a convict prison.

New Caledonia’s magnificent and diverse landscape is part of its many attractions and this 7 day itinerary will ensure you see these less-visited islands at their best!

    • Island-hop amongst 4 islands of New Caledonia
    • Relax on the beautiful Mouli Beach
    • Visit a vanilla plantation at Mucaweng
    • Swim in turquoise waters surrounded by pine forests
    • Take a tour of Santal Bay
    • Walk up to the peak of Nga

    Day 1: Noumea to Ouvea

Today you will make your own way to the airport for your short flight over to the island of Ouvea. On arrival you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.

Spend the rest of today at your leisure on one of the most beautiful Pacific atoll. On the island's west coast, you'll find pristine white sands and a spectacular blue lagoon and on the east, the island is sheltered by limestone cliffs and high coral rocks. Known for it's coconut oil production, this island is home to a blend of Walls Islanders and Polynesian people, making it quite unique compared to the other islands in New Caledonia.

    Day 2: Ouvea

Spend the day exploring the island! Why not go and explore the Cong-Ouloup Caves? Resplendent with local legend, here you'll also have amazing views of the cliffs too.

Alternatively, visit the 25km long Mouli Beach, surely one of the most beautiful beaches in the world with clear aquamarine waters and white sand as far as the eye can see!

    Day 3: Ouvea  to Lifou

After breakfast at your hotel you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lifou (via Noumea). You will be greeted on arrival and taken to your hotel.

Lifou is the largest, most dynamic and most populous of the Loyalty Islands. The interior of this atoll is a vast plain, invaded by forest; the north and south are characterised by cliffs with many caves, whilst the east and west are home to  magnificent beaches worth exploring.

    Day 4: Lifou

Today is free so you have time to take a look around Lifou, visit the vanilla plantation at Mucaweng, take a tour of Santal Bay, admire the Jokin cliffs or take some time to swim and dive in the small coves.

Alternatively just relax by the pool at the hotel and make the most of the stunning surroundings!

Day 5: Lifou to Ile Des Pines

After breakfast you will be collected and taken to the airport for your flight to Ile de Pins (via Noumea). On arrival you will be greeted and taken to your hotel.

One of the beautiful islands in the world, Ile des Pines' pine trees resemble the masts of sailing ships and the waters are clear turquoise. At the end of the 19th Century the island became the prison for 3,000 political prisoners deported from France - the remains of the convict prison can be seen inside the islands wooded interior.

    This afternoon is at leisure.

    Day 6: Ile Des Pines

Today, why not head to the natural swimming pool of Oro Bay which is full of tropical fish - the perfect place to do a bit of snorkelling! If you’re feeling active, you could walk up to the peak of Nga to witness one of the best views on the island.

Day 7: Ile de Pines to Noumea

After breakfast you will be picked up and taken to the airport for your returning flight to Noumea.
