All of Explora’s excursions on Easter Island include a cultural element and are led by local, bilingual guides who have been trained at Explora’s School of Guides. Trips are group-based with a maximum of eight travellers and can be done either by foot or bike amongst archaeological remains, volcanoes, beaches, prairies and cliffs. The hotel also offers boat trips and snorkelling excursions where you will be able to explore beneath the waters of the Pacific.
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and the staff will drive you back to the airport for your next flight.
Peak season on Easter Island is between January and March which is when prices are at a premium and availability limited. Highest prices occur around February’s Tapati Rapa Nui festival. April to June and October to December can be a good time to visit as the climate is fairly temperate and crowds fewer. July to August can bring cold weather, which isn’t ideal for visiting the beaches but this can be a good time to go for those interested in hiking or horse riding.
