The Pacific Northwest is famously rainy but, in reality, this area has cold, snowy winters and mild, pleasant summers. The coast can get foggy out of nowhere, but when the sun shines you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more comfortable climate in the USA. There’s no need to plan for a constant deluge, but it's wise to keep an umbrella handy.
