Depart the UK from your chosen airport.
On arrival in Tokyo, you’ll make your own way to the hotel and check in for three nights.
You have two days to explore Tokyo, and your time is sure to fly by. Why not start in Tsukiji Outer Market, which is always bustling, as visitors and locals come to enjoy delicious food and shop for traditional ingredients? It’s a great spot to grab a snack before heading over to the 400-year-old Zojoji Temple. Sitting next to the Tokyo Tower, the temple is a great place to get a glimpse of Japan’s ancient history and modern architecture side by side.
You can also enjoy a bowl of ramen for lunch before spending the afternoon discovering the serene beauty of Hie Shrine, a quiet haven in the bustling district of Akasaka. Statues of mythical creatures guard the shrine, which sits at the top of several escalators (a modern addition!). The shrine is famous for the 90 bright red tori gates that divide the human world and the spirit world, as well as being a doorway to a place where the gods can hear our prayers. It’s an extraordinary place to visit, so take your time.
Spend the final morning in Tokyo visiting any last-minute places you’ve missed. In the afternoon, head to the airport for your overnight flight to Fiji.
On arrival in Nadi, you will be met and welcomed to the friendly nation of Fiji. You’ll be driven down to the harbour to catch the boat over to Castaway Island Resort in the Mamanuca Islands.
Enjoy island serenity at Castaway Island Resort, a beautiful hotel on it’s own island in the Mamanucas. Spend your days relaxing by the pool, squashing your feet into the perfect white sands and snorkelling with colourful fish just off the beach.
1808 is their award winning restaurant, with delicious Fijian fusion food, demonstrating the artisan techniques of cooking from historic Melanesian culture and serving up sensational food that puts Fiji firmly on the map.
After spending the morning at Castaway, you’ll be picked up and taken by private boat to Tokoriki Island Resort. Spend the afternoon, relaxing by the pool before a spectacular dinner under the twinkling stars.
Enjoy the relaxed luxury of Tokoriki Island resort. This truly romantic resort is made so special by the warm Fijian hospitality and caring attention to detail from all of the staff. Modern meets traditional in the beautiful bures, with tropical outdoor showers and four poster beds that reveal beautiful views over the ocean. Share a bottle of champagne in your private pool, soaking up the views and succumb to feeling totally relaxed.
Rise at dawn to watch the sun rise over the calm ocean, as fruit bats chatter overhead as they come home to roost. Spend an afternoon in the spa, indulging in the relaxing treatments offered in the tropical gardens and snorkel in the peaceful waters, looking for colourful fish and coral beneath the waves.
Food is a big part of a stay at Tokoriki Island Resort – why not book in to enjoy a special meal at the Oishii Teppanyaki, where you’ll watch your food prepared in the intimate restaurant, surrounded by lily ponds and tropical foliage.
The staff at Tokoriki are wonderful, looking after your every need and greeting you as you wander through the lush grounds. Their warmth is such a highlight of a visit to this luxurious hotel.
After breakfast, you will be taken by boat back to the main island in time to catch your flight to Vancouver. As you cross the international date line, you’ll arrive in Vancouver earlier on the same day. On arrival in Vancouver, you’ll be met at the airport and driven to your hotel in the city. Check-in for three nights before heading out for a wander along the waterfront, the perfect welcome to Vancouver.
Vancouver is a fresh, outdoorsy city. No matter the weather, you’ll want to get outside and explore. Start in Gastown, where you can roam the historic streets and pop into the tiny art galleries and boutique shops. Afterwards, move on to Chinatown where you can dig into a delicious dim sum lunch. Next, head to Stanley Park for the afternoon. The best way to get around is cycling, so why not rent a bike head to see the colourful totem poles at Brockton Point or English Bay Beach to relax in the sun?
On your second day, we’ve included a seaplane flight over the city. This will give you an awesome view of the north shore, Grouse Mountain and the whole city centre. On a clear day, you’ll even get great views of the Olympic Mountains over the border in Washington State.
If you’re interested in the history of this region, there are plenty of museums to enjoy, and the Museum of Anthropology is especially good for First Nations artefacts. If you love food, head down to Granville Island Public Market, where you can browse the stalls, picking up all sorts of goodies, from local BC cherries to freshly-baked pastries. Getting out of the city here is also easy, so if you get time, try to visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge which hangs precariously over the river in the North Shore.
Today you’ll be transferred to the airport in time for your onwards flight.
