Located on the far north of the Queensland coast Cairns is an excellent base for exploring the Great Barrier Reef, trek the Daintree Rainforest, ride the rapids of Tully River and view the amazing beaches and resorts around Port Douglas and Mission Beach.
On arrival in Cairns you will be met and transferred to your hotel where you will check in for four nights. The rest of the day is yours to relax at your hotel or head out and explore.
We’ve included a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef so why don’t you take this opportunity to go and explore the world’s largest coral reef. Your day includes morning and afternoon tea, a tropical buffet lunch and all snorkeling equipment. During the trip home it may be possible to see dolphins and whales
Today is free day, so you can relax at your hotel, or get out and explore Cairns. If you want to venture further, how about exploring the Daintree Rainforest, this is a World Heritage Listed area and contains an enormous amount of rare plants and animals. With a mix of golden beaches, walking trails, crocodile spotting you will soon have your day filled up. If you have time there is also the opportunity to further explore and go visit Cape Tribulation and the Mossman River but don’t worry if you can’t see everything today as you still have tomorrow.
